BUMP and Good afternoon all
Kitchen update - today I have bought ceramic floor tiles in black & white. I'll probably eventually post some photos when its finished but you might all just be very bored of it by then as I expect it will take at least 2 more months before its all completed. Sometimes the MSE way is a slow way. No more spending on the kitchen now until after payday. Major thing left to purchase is the worktop and to pay to get that fitted.
Well done on the lie-in Numpty.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Evening all, I took your advice niccatw, and hit the router several times, it seems to have worked since:j
It never fails for me (apart from the time I destroy the thing completely - but that's generally therapeutic too)
Tixy, are you going to post a pic of your makeover in the kitchen, I'm sure everyone would love to see it, especially me, cause I'm nosey. As soon as I see one of the neighbours house up for sale I'm on the website looking at the interior, more for inspiration than anything, I'm useless with colour and coordination.
All the girlies are nosey anyway. I'm going to take a leaf out of your book Tixy and spend three years designing my (tiny) kitchen (by then I might have some spare cash to pay for it!) so all inspiration gratefully received!
Niddy - you are truly wonderful and knowledgeable.
I second (or third, or fourth, or fifth that notion... I've lost count!)
Couldn't get to the vet, my OH was late home due to traffic and roadworks and it is too far to walk with the cat carrier, so no news on the kitty front I'm afraid.
I hope she's ok. How are the kittens and new mummy doing?
I hope all is well with everyone, have an enjoyable evening.

It's gorgeous here too so I'm about to go out and make the most of it
Oh, by the way - I spent no money in IkeaIt was NSD no 2 for me! (I'm about to ruin no 3 as I need to post a parcel for my friend's birthday. Though maybe, as I contiune in the challenge, I will gain some organisational skills :rotfl:.)

Afternoon all
Sheesh..what a day, I had a humungous row with some nerd who claimed to be from T Mobile (I havent been with them for yonks) asking if I had a free phone from them for virgin..they proceeded to recite my old address and kept asking me for my new address (I refused) and then they continued to talk over me so I ended up shouting telling them to !!!!!!! listen to me..and then when I asked for their name and number I suddenly got static interference. I did ring virgin who have explained to me that they use some of T-mobile's transmitters but T-mobile do not have access to any virgin customers' accounts. Despite using the telephone preference service I still get calls from T-mobile because they always withhold their number:mad:
Its a glorious day today and have been for a wander to the corner shop for bread.
Well done Nicca on not spending in Ikea - I admire your restraint:D
Numpty you have my sympathies..Golders Green bus station isnt very nice and letting you sit there for 2hrs was a joke..glad you're back though.0 -

We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
