  • The lack of earth is concerning

What make of consumer unit is it?

The 10mm cable is a bit cheap (maybe they have old stock) as it is a bit more costly now.

The bathroom light not being IP rated may be OK if it is above 2.27mtr (outside zone 2), or was installed to previous regs.

I wouldn't code missing grommets as a 2 - maybe 3 or 4. Besides, if your sockets are flush fitted I think it's possible to damage the cables trying to fit a grommet!
  • Hi not sure what the make the consumer unit is.

Do you think it's a fair price? Any recommendations on where to get a second opinion?

Is it better to give them the same details and say how much to do this or invite them round to inspect and see what they recommend to be done?

    many thanks for the responses

If it complied at time installation it will still be legal, but not comply with current regulation this would be a category 4 (does not comply with BS7671 2008
(This does not imply that the electrical installation inspected is unsafe)

I do not understand why he has this as a code 1…?

Also is this a commercial installation ?
