What should I do with my money?

Hi
I joined a work scheme 5 years ago where I gave them £30 a month over a five year period and it was put into a savings plan.
I have now got to the end of the scheme and I have received a nice bonus for completing the term but have been told that I cannot continue putting money into the scheme and now need to withdraw my money (its with Halifax).
The whole idea of the savings plan is so that my husband and I can take our children on a holiday of a lifetime to Florida but we want to wait another 4 years to do this when our children will be of an age where it will be most appreciated. This also gives us another 4 years to save.
I have just over £2000 now. What should I do with it in order to get the best return and also be able to add to it? I don't want access to it for 4 years (or there abouts) but want to get the best return possible and/or bonuses if possible.
Any advice would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks
Regards

daisy 164,
A three year NSI Index Linked bond is your best bet.
You can roll it over until you need to cash in with no penalties, once the three years is up.
Any extra you add will have to stay for three years, which will give you another year to keep adding.
Penalties for taking early are not OTT.
