I wouldn't exactly *reccommend* the place, but this is the closest you'll get.

I don't know about static Caravans, but we booked the travelodge hotel at £19 a night in the last sale (Jan) for a family room that sleeps 4 at Ashbourne for 5 days in the May/ June half term. Uttoxeter is also near it. I don't know what the avaialblity is like now, but may be worth a look.0

We also booked the ashbourne travelodge in the last £9 sale, cant beat that for price as its only a base.Always on the hunt for a bargain0

hmmmm personally as a local I would avoid the star completely. Why are you looking for statics specifically? There really isn't any static parks around here, though you may find a few in Ashbourne.0

My thoughts exactly- we stayed there a couple of times in a tent, and it was pretty horrible- but bearable for 2/3 nights. Last time we stayed somewhere on a hillside about twenty minutes away- damn windy but much nicer!
The Star is pretty much the only static site I can think of for miles around though.:(Only dead fish go with the flow...0 -
Ah thanks for the replies. The logic behind getting a caarvan is that i thought i'd try and turn what was going the be a day out into a cheap mini break! So was gonna go with cheap & cheerfull. If i could add relaxing & beautiful scenery into the mix then even better!!!!November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. There is a nice tourer/tent park out in the middle of nowhere by a pub, on the way to a place called Waterhouses. Can''t remember the name of the place as there is nothing there other than pub and camp lol
Its used for walkers mostly.0 -
