Switching service for HSBC?

Does anyone know if they have one?
I am being driven to drink by Santander's inflexibility and would like to change banks asap. Only problem is, I can't access online banking so can't get info about my SOs and DDs, so would need a switching service to ensure everything transfers across.
Thanks for any info received

Just pop into the bank that you want to go with and they will deal with it all for you. It really is as simple as that..
You have to take some id with you.
Santander/Abbey are the worst bank i have ever dealt with, i stayed with them for one year and they were just unbelievably incompetent.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Thanks for your reply. I've had a quick look online since posting (yup, should have done that first!) and found some information.
If anyone is thinking of trying Santander, I am leaving them because they have revoked my online banking access. The reason they've done this is because my home computer is not compatible with Trusteer Rapport (I have a Mac running OS 10.3.9 and the upgrade of that has been discontinued by Apple) and I have been told on the phone that I cannot have online banking until I prove that I have installed this product, even though I had online access up until this January.
Yes, as others have said in the forum, I should have been suspicious that they were having to bribe people with £100 to join them.
Also fired off an enquiry form to HSBC asking what their policy is on forcing people to install Rapport."Kindness is the golden chain by which society is bound together." -Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

I have a live account with HSBC but only have pensions paid into it.
I installed Rapport last week but i think i had a choice.
My normal account is with Halifax and have never had a problem with them.
Just curious, but why do you have a problem with Rapport?make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

No problem necessarily, though I'm not mad keen on being forced to install it. I also happily had online banking for over a year before A & L decided to revoke it.
Rapport only works on OS 10.4 and above though. I have OS 10.3.9. If I wanted to buy OS 10.4, I'd have to do so on eBay as Apple no longer make it. It tends to go for £50-£120 which is not within my means at the moment."Kindness is the golden chain by which society is bound together." -Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

HSBC & First Direct customers are being 'encouraged' to install Rapport but it's not currently mandatory.0

Encouraged in this sense means seeing a screen prior to entering your security details asking you if you want to install it (hopefully this screen will be removed in due course, as it is mildly annoying if you use the service regularly).0 -
I've not got Rapport installed on my Mac (OH has a HSBC account) and he's never been forced to.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

Agreed, it is so annoying, I don't want their software on my computer.0 -
There's been speculation whether the banks could make Rapport compulsory at some point, but I wasn't aware we were there at the moment (I'd certainly resist!). But a similar situation was also reported quite recently on an A&L account:

I don't see how they can make it compulsory. It basically rules out:
People that use their work computer
Anyone using an internet cafe or friends PC
As above anyone using an old Mac.
Are they idiots? I would close my account.0
