When should we get a service done?

Well on a car that age I would avoid the vauxhall main dealers like the plague.
Yes, you might get a reasonable set price for the service, but you'll pay well over the top for anything they claim requires replacing or doing.
I did it and never again. Service and MOT which was overpriced but the car was 4 years old and had been there each year while in warranty. It failed on the passanger seat but they also had a list of things for me to have done, none of which it failed the MOT on. To check the seat, they wanted £40 to inspect it and diagnose the problem!! I said forget it and had a look and saw within 2 seconds one of the bolts had come out. It was back in within 2 mins. Never been near a vauxhall main dealer since and never will.
Find a good local garage and support a small business instead and save yourself being ripped off.0 -
We have our corsa serviced at the main agent because its a pretty good price, but then take it elsewhere if they recommend anything needs doing, to somewhere which will truthfully say if it needs doing or not, and charge a reasonable amount for doing the work. Tbh the main agent hasn't really made much work up, if any at all, they just wanted silly prices to do it all!Well on a car that age I would avoid the vauxhall main dealers like the plague.
