Hi,can i download skype onto an, Aspire one acer linux (linpus)and how ? thank you.

    It depends on what package management is used by your operating system. The static version should be good for any distribution. Otherwise the .deb or the Ubuntu (32-bit?).

    So much of the stuff in Linpus was locked down on my Acer Aspire One, (I use other flavours of Linux on three other computers,) that eventually I ditched it and installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix.

    It looks better, it runs at least as well and I am able to add things like VPN settings, (my main reason for changing,) free games, Skype, update Firefox etc. etc. without messing about trying to overcome the restrictions which have been built into Linpus.

    You will also find a great deal of friendly support for this operating system.
