I live directly opposite a little play park in our estate. Its great as I can take the little uns over there really easily.
In the evenings in the summer we do get the tennagers who live locally congregating but thats mostly because a neighbour has 3 teenage daughters who attract teenage boys like flies around a dog trd. When they leave and go to uni I expect it to get a bit quieter.0 -

Our house backs onto a park which has a play area. Never really had any problems' although it can get a bit noisy after school. We had small children when we moved in, so it was good for us. I think you should check it out at different times of day, but it really depends on what the area is like as a whole, not just one little bit of it.LBM-2003ish

Kids playing noise isn't a problem - but I'd want to check the area out at night (friday and saturday - non-rainy nights)0

alot of sterotype answers in here. you wont find out till you investigate at different times of the day...esp at weekends. If the area is grubby then i wouldnt but you should know by the type of nearbourhood. if the house is going for under 150k i wouldnt0

Unfortunately the trouble causers by nature do not cause trouble on their own doorstep.
200 yards away - probably not an issue.
Would I? no. Some people find the noise of children playing a delight. I however do not.0 -
No, never, ever and I would never buy if there was a trampoline in sight !0

Oh deary me I have bought the wrong house then. There is a park 100yds away, my next door neighbour and the neighbour 2 down both have trampolines. The park is no problem at all and the trampolines get used very occasionally. No doubt my own daughter will want one when she's older too I might even go the whole hog and buy a swing set too :rotfl:Nothing to see here, move along.0

Hi haven't read all the replies but as a personal view NO!!
We live on a lovely new estate and have a really nice play park near us (few mins walk)..it is lovely during the day when the kids are at school and i can take the mindees up but after school or late at night a nightmare..the noise and mess is quite sad really and glad i dont have to
put up with it!
I actually posted a long while back about the pain of it due to teenagers and rude children going in and smashing balls round and turning the swings over etc..i got told i was a child hater (work as a CM!!) and that i ruined all their fun??..anyway beside the point in a way!
Good luck if you decide to! x0 -

Not sure why that is relevant? our house which is a fair distance away was £153k and the identical ones right next to the park went for £180k+..i know which one id'e rather live in!!0
