Sainsburys PPI and Old Disabled Green Card

Hi All

Just wondered if anyone can help, I am currently trying to clain back my PPI from Sainsburys in regard to a loan I took out in 2002 for £16,000 which then had there Care plan....£5,032 added to total £21,032 with interest of £5,212 total to be paid back £26,244, I actually finished payments in 2008 and then found this site and put in claim as at the time I took out the agreement I was actually registered disabled (pins and plates in leg).
I have had a letter from Sainsburys 18-1-10 saying sorry and they will look into it, another one sent 11-2-10 saying sorry not had reply yet but they will get one to me no later than 1!-3-10 (still waiting) the problem I have is I cant find my old green card that was issued to me, long since expired as never really used it but it was confirmation i was registered, does anyone know where I can get confirmation?
Cheers
Paul

    Hi Paul

I would write to the business and request they send you a copy of the Green Card, they should be able to provide this to you.
Are you still under this scheme? If so there should not be a problem with them providing you with a copy.;)

When you write to reclaim, just as long as you have the account number that is fine, you can continue to make a reclaim with the reasons you have.
As you have already done this that is fine.

I would though chase them up on a response if you can, good luck with this, please keep us posted.

    UPDATE

    Thanks Di
Actually got letter this morning from RBS who it turns out Sainsburys 'Introduce' customers to for the payment protection. they are now investigating (letter dated 11th? strange exactly 8 weeks after initial letter, am I being suspicious!!!)
They are waiting for copy of old agreement, lucky I have kept a copy so will forward that on to them, they also say their records currently show my old address (that would be the one I wass in when I took out the loan) and they will be unable to issue a final response until I can confirm my address has formally changed and will need to go into a Halifax or RBS Branch with proof, this is despite them writing to me for the last couple of months.
On the Green Card Issue, the Green Card was a disabled card that I think used to be issued via the old job centres after medical advice.
