Holiday inn express

Has anyone stayed at holiday inn express, glasgow as we are looking for hotels next to airport for next year.

We are a bit unsure as we had an awful experience with the travel inn a few weeks back and was wondering what this hotel is really like in regards to staff and accommadation.

We would need to book a large family room, any help?

Not stayed in that one but all express ones are pretty much the same inside.
We always use them, very clean OK breakfast included in price.

I would never stay in a travel inn.

Family room is a twin or double with a fold out sofa bed suitable for 2 kids, so any more than that and you would need another room.

Hi thanks, a large family room is suitable for 2 adults and up to 3 kids, have to phone to book it though, not avail online.

Just wanted to know if they were better than travel inn, thats all.

Will also need to see about the airport parking, i think they do that?

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Epress at the aiport 5 or 6 times now and never had a problem.

There is a bar there and a bistro style restaurant serving cheap & cheerful meals but nothing to write home about.

They serve breakfast from about 430am which is good for an early start. Help yourself buffet with a good selection of continental style

About a 5 minute walk maximum to the terminal which is mostly under a covered walkway. Plentiful supply of trolleys available at reception

I have stayed at the Ramada airport hotel (glasgow) and it sometimes does offers and includes the parking too. don't know current prices but worth checking, room and food good, got breakfast sent to room for early start at no extra cost.

We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express, not an airport one though, but managed to get room for about £40. Breakfast was not included and it was non refundable. Also had to be booked at least 3 days in advance. Good clean room and facilities. Would certainly use again.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Theaterland in Glasgow in March. It was lovely, rooms were all newly refurbished and of a very high standard.

Can thoroughly recommend it. We came in from the airport and caught the bus, as the bus depot is right opposite the hotel.

Its really convenient for all the shops, bars and restaurants.

I am a big fan of the Holiday Inn hotels, stayed at a couple of them in various places, both express and regular and have'nt had a bad one yet, however my advice would be to check out https://www.tripadvisor.com , they rank hotels on a customer feedback system , just type in your city and it will give you all the hotels in that city and the order they are ranked in by feedback, you'd be surprised how often you find some cheaper hotels being ranked above the more expensive hotels., also gives links to booking websites.
I've booked hotels from using tripadvisor and had some great stays.
