A friend was asking the other day if Pinnacle cover for agency workers........will have to check this out on our policy details when I find them, but if anyone knows in the meantime, please let me know so I could let my mate Andy know, cheers.

I'm currently preparing to go up against them, my policy was for an unsecured loan that went together with my mortgage, I was told that the loan and ppi for it came with the mortgage product and I had to take it otherwise I wouldn't have qualified for the mortgage.
Do I have a case against them?

If you have that comment in writing from them then you definitely have a case. I suspect you haven't and that it's your word against theirs so, good luck, but don't hold your breath.

I've hd numerous claims upheld because that was the main selling point of the insurance....

Awesome! I'm happy for you. Prove it again and you'll likely get another upheld then. I'm a bit confused though, are you trying to convince yourself or others to make a claim? You asked if you had a case and then tell us you've been successful in the past with similar claims. Now it seems odd that you asked at all. Surely you're one of the people that should be telling others that they have a case.

I wasn't sure about this one due to the circumstances, with it being tied in to my mortgage.
I was looking for any similar circumstances if i'm being honest.

Ah OK. I don't think the fact it was tied to a mortgage is relevant. I had one tied to a secured loan, which is essentially the same thing. The problem I had was Cardiff didn't sell the product directly to me, they used an unscrupulous re-seller to peddle their wares to me. Coincidentally the re-seller has since gone bust, and it predated some change in the regulation so for whatever reason (I forget the excuse given now) the FSO's hands were tied and I got nowhere with my claim.
