Hi can anyone help please, i am looking for a card reader that supports this type
FUJI 1GB H TYPE XD-PICTURE FLASH MEMORY CARD.
I bought a card reader on ebay only £5, but when i put the card in it says card needs formating which i do, then when i put it in to my Fujifilm FinePix F470 it won't let me take any photos and says card not initialized. So i have to format it again with the camera settings to make it work. So i would think that the xd card reader i bought does not support the H type or 1GB.
Thanks.......

I use one of these, never had a problem.

They also have a Lexar reader that says it will do XD, SD and MMC, if that's better for you.0 -

Hi,
I can vouch for ledshoppe.com :-
http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/com/CA2007.htm
Only cost $5 (about 3 quid) and came within 5 days.
Works perfectly and is so small, it could double up as a pen drive/memory stick !

Can you put any files on it from your PC? There may be a problem with your PC not being able to read the file system type used by the camera.
What operating system do you have?
What file system is used by the camera?

That's really weird then - I've got a Fuji Finepix S3000 and the card is recognised fine by the camera and the PC through the card reader.
Not sure what else it could be, I can't believe that Fuji have a proprietary disk format just for your camera, so I'm stumped !
Hope you get it sorted anyway,
