Options
My last payment for my IVA was at the beginning of January and I official finished in the begining of February. I still havent had a certificate of completion and I still havent seen my credit report updated. How long should I have to wait?

Hello, I had to wait a few months for mine - last payment in the July, recieved the certificate in the September.

It may be because your contributions were being paid into a high interest (with notice) savings account to maximise the return to creditors, nd this would cause a delay in the final dispersments.

No harm in contacting your IP just to check that it hasn't been sent and got lost in the post.

I waited from May to February for my certificate as some of my creditors just did not seem to want their money, in the end 2 creditors where excluded because they did not bother answering IP letters.

Check with your IP what stage you are at with claims and payuts and keep on at them about it .

Until your creditors have finalized their claaims and money paid out IP will not issue certificate then you can get your credit file sorted.

    Good luck

  • I must have been very lucky, as I had min within 3 days of mine ending.

When I had my CoC, I wrote to all my creditors (via recorded del, cost over £8 but it's worth it) enclosing a copy of the cert, with a template letter amended from this site.

Most of my creditors updated there records within month, I would get a copy your report as soon as you can. As the post IVA clean up can take months in some cases.

Good luck and congratulations on your new 'debt free' status:beer:

Thats great you got your CofC so quickly, I guess I was just unlucky as some creditors had not put their claims in lol

It took about 2 months for me to sort out my credit file, most updated as soon as they got certificate and confirmed they ahd recieved their money, a few give me run around but got there in the end ,

Feels great being debt free doesn't it ?
