Faulty washing machine after 3 months told no to a replacement.

Options
Hi,

My mum purchased a washing machine via Dixons on the 15/12/2009 delivered on the 19/12/2009 which is now faulty and flooded the kitchen twice.

I rang Dixons on her behalf and asked for a replacement and was told that they can only offer a replacement within 28 days of purchase, and they will send someone to repair it.

Is she legally entitled to a replacement if it only came with the standard guarantee?

Thanks.

The retailer has the option of repairing or replacing the machine, in some cases the repair might not be possible anyway and they will replace it.

It could be a simple repair anyway
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!
