Food Shopping, how much?

I posted on another topic but would like some tips on cutting down the food shopping bill.
At the moment me and the missus spend around £120 a month, whether that's alot I don't know. That includes online shopping at Asda (works out alot cheaper for us than going to pick it in the store) and bread and milk during the month. We do an online shop every two weeks to cut down on the delivery costs and the dates always seem to be good so more often than not we get a full two weeks worth of lunch for work.
We don't buy much of the 'Smart price' stuff to be honest. Especially when it comes to food. Fizzy and fruit juice are always on offer anyway.
I thought i'd ask on here as no doubt a family of six somewhere here spends half of what us two do. Any tips welcome!

£ 120 a month. tell me where you shop. We are pensioners and spend about £300 a month on food. Wea re not extravagent at all. Hardly ever but things like booze or beauty products (to late for them ), Never buy ready meals and very few cakes or confectionary.0

Asda's smart range isn't as good as Sainsbury's basic one. I think you're doing well as you're already on a tight food budget. If you cut back further you may not like the taste of the food you buy," The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Hi,
Me and my partner spend £120 a month too, we manage fine. We shop in sainsburys and we buy things on offer which helps a lot ie walkers crisps were half price last week. The basics range is good on some things but i dont buy any of the basics meat or cleaning products etc but things like squash and beans are fine.

also I hate wasting anything. so when i buy chicken fillets i'll put each fillet in a food bag and freeze them all so if i want chicken and JP and OH wants pizza im not wasting 4 other bits of chicken (i hope this makes sense).***My Savings now:£1871***

So we are doing ok? We spend about £50 every two weeks so twice a month. That includes the delivery fee aswell. Asda always seem to have deals on and they are easier to find online rather than wandering about the shop looking at every isle.0

Also we buy alot of fresh meat but once or twice a week or so after a late night at work we will have something easy and cheap like pasta, pizza or burgers. But the rest of time time we'll east meat and make curry with the leftovers and eat alot of mash and boiled potatoes etc so it does save alot. I think deciding in advance what you will eat helps. Obviously you may change your mine but as long as you freeze the meat it doesn't matter eh!0

Yes, it really helps to have some sort of idea what you are going to be eating. yeah just grab it out the freezer, let it defrost throughout the day ready for you to cook when you get in.
