Yet another non paying bidder

I am getting tired of bidders who are not from the UK bidding on an item that is Free in the UK and then not paying because they get an invoice with postage added.

In my listing it clearly says UK and no other countries but they still bid. I have opened a dispute case after having a few emails ignored but I bet he will get away with not having to pay.

Another thing, what can't I leave negative feedback if he doesn't pay ? It would warn other sellers. It's not a level playing field anymore because Ebay bend over backwards to appease the buyer, even when they are clearly in the wrong.

There is a very easy way to stop this. Either set your seller preferences to exclude non UK bidders, or add the postage for Europe and /or worldwide to your listing. I sell about 75% of my stuff overseas some weeks and I just have the two postage costs for Europe and everything else in the appropriate bit of the listing and when they pay it automatically picks up the correct postage for their country.

Seller preferences are very useful things, so set them properly, there are sometips for new sellers including setting preferences here:

No, you can't leave negs, but make sure you open NPBs and give them a strike.
