Morning all,
Looking at buying a house from the owner as he is selling himself.
Does he need a HIP? as he is saying he doesn't need one, we are in england and i thought all house sales had to have one now.

2010 challenges
Saving £8k to add to house deposit - done:D
8000/10,200 done 28 April (started jan 1 2010)
Lose 2 stone/ -5/23 to go
Sell our house and buy another one

Only if any marketing is taking place does he need a HIP. This could be with an agent, online or a homemade board outside. If non, no HIP is needed. He will still need an EPC though.0

he has a board in the garden, which is how i saw it, so in theory he does need one, i'm going to get hubby to ring him this morning and ask again.
