no one has actually come out and done that part we were just told how much we would have to pay but didn't go any further because we haven't got that kind of money spare,

if i can manage to shower in the bath which is 700mm wide i can surely manage with a normal cubicle?

Oh - didn't they show you what they were recommending?

If you take the bath out, won't you have a bigger area to put a shower in than 700mm - would your friend be able to put in a wet room - a shower cubicle is very restrictive and 700mm is very small

Is there any way you can save the additional £500 needed to add to the loan you got? It would be so much easier if it was done through a DFG as you would get an occupational therapist recommendation for your needs and the builders would know what they were doing (not saying your friend doesn't). You really need a larger area than a 700mm cubicle - you will find that difficult to use and turn round in.

I wish I was nearer to come and have a look at your bathroom to help you out - putting in wet rooms for disabled people is my job!
