Apple: Woohoo!

Ok so I've had an iPhone 3GS since June 2009...
It's had battery issues twice.
I'd like to praise Apple for replacing said handset twice without any interrogation!
One complaint, one compliment!

So you've had something for 9 months, It's gone wrong twice and you're praising Apple?0

Its true that in an ideal world, everything we brought would work without a problem for many years. However, we don't live in an ideal world. IMO, I'm not particularly concerned about things going wrong, I'm more concerned about the customer service I receive when a problem occurs.
I had a refurbished iPhone from O2 and the volume switch fell off, I took it back to Apple and after running a few tests they gave me a drand new phone. I was in and out of the store within 10 mins.
As far as I'm concerned Apple still sell quality products and have by far and away the best customer service I have ever come across.0 -

who was it that actually replaced the phone though?
ie. was it on contract & the phone network replaced it?
also, if the handset has been replaced twice, that would mean that 2 different handsets had battery problems, & your now onto the third
so surely thats 2 complaints? & if the item is going wrong within the warranty period, they have to do something to fix it anyway, so how does doing what they have to do become a compliment?0 -
Battery problems... or a problem where the display indicated the battery was dead, when it wasn't, and as a result it kept shutting down?
Mine did this - it was solved by a software update. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Yes, that's certainly indicative of a "quality product".0 -

You have to bare in mind that its a mobile phone. Its in your pocket all day and can get knocked about, dropped etc (I'm not saying I ever did this).
I got my replacement a year ago and have never had one problem with it which proves it is a quality product.0
