Where do I start!
I ordered a lampshade for delivery on Saturday 27/02/2010 between 7am and 3pm. This was confirmed by e-mail and on the website.
The item was delivered on 27/02/2010 at 5.15pm with the HDNL driver saying "It can be delivered at any time."
Argos have refunded the £3 charge for a Saturday delivery and have tried to send them a contact e-mail on their site but it returns a:
"Sorry we couldn't find a match for your search. This may be due to our data, or because your search contained special characters not recognised by our search tool (such as " - the symbol for inch)."
I used to like Argos, but since they've changed their logo, I'm not any more.
If they happen to refund the delivery charge it doesn't matter. Having 3pm on their site when HDNL says it can be there at any time is misleading.
This is one consumer who hates mis-selling!

No, Argos weren't 'late' - they completely missed the timescale they agreed to when OP made their purchase. Still, I suppose for some people sitting around awaiting delivery for a further 2 1/4 hours on top of the previous 8 is neither here nor there! IMO OP was quite right to complain.:T0 -
Right to complain. How many hours are lost just waiting for these people to deliver! I usually reserve and collect in store when i buy from Argos. Also their new logo isnt nice, what does everyone else think?0

I hate their new logo, but it doesn't stop me using them. Still, you got a delivery on the promised day. That's a major achievement for many courier companies.0

We bought a product from Argos, wasnt happy with, the problem got worse over 4mths.
We complained, they came and picked it up and refunded our money, what more can you ask for?
It's the way you approach them that helps.
We were very happy with the way Argos managed our complaint.
