Orlando weather in May?

Got the chance of a cheap villa in Orlando through a relative. Can pretty much pick any date in the first 6 - 8 months of next year.

Thinking of mid May to avoid the busiest time when the American kids are off school.

I've been told the weather will be good then too. Anyone who has been at that time confirm this please?

It doesn't have to be scorching, but we would like sunbathing weather.

TIA

We were there may 7th-14th this year.
Weather was hot, more or less temps in uk now,one or two thunderstorms in the afternoon.Cooler in the evenings, which we found the best times to check out the theme parks.

having lived in Orlando for 2 years, I can garauntee you its gonna be hot, and your all going to love it. Be weary of potential hurricane season, but really very rare. youll have a great time. They call it the Sunny capital of the World for a reason. And I can vouch for that.

We were there 11th - 18th May this year, temp was in the 80s with one day of rain when it was a bit colder that night.

Parks weren't too busy especially first thing and again in the evenings, definately a good time to go :)

I found it too hot in May, in the low 90's & there were several thunderstorms. I doubt you will be doing any sunbathing. We couldnt even walk on the sand it was that hot! October is the best time for me as the weather is good but not too hot to enjoy the theme parks.

Thank you everyone. My wife is happier now that she has had first hand information, if you like.

I don't mind one way or the other but she does prefer to holiday in nicer weather.

May should be ok, late afternoon thunderstorms clear the air. We generally go October now, but May will be good too. Have a great time.

For more information take a look at http://www.thedibb.co.uk particularly the Forums have loads of tips

We have been in Feb/March and at Easter and the temp was in the 80s. If you are doing a lot of walking round the theme parks then maybe the earlier the better

Well it's done now. We are definately off next May.

Need to spend some time looking for information on the attractions/parks out there.

Is there any particular airline that people would recommend or warn to avoid?

Not sure where we will be flying from just yet as there is a possiblity we may be leaving from relative's house (different country) instead of our own.

    Thanks again.

(Best say that the different country bit refers to Scotland/England and not anywhere abroad.)
