Cleaning satin shoes

I have a feeling somebody here is going to suggest stardrops to me, but I was wondering how you clean satin shoes? I bought a pair of shoes I am going to wear for my wedding from Next in their sale, the only problem is one heel is quite dirty, and it is covered in satin fabric. Does anybody know how to clean it? Just cleaned off white satin shoes and the heels with vodka and I used duzzit sponge erasure which I had in cupboard as the applicator. The box says it removes household marks and stains instantly and I just poured neat vodka onto it and it worked. Left no streaks and removed the scuff marks and sand stains (don't ask she walked on the beach in 4 inch heels for her graduation pictures) used the hair dryer to dry to avoid water marks and now left to dry throughly in direct sun. Hoping for good result as looks okay at moment. Thanks again for all contributions.
