when do we get our final move?

Options
Hi,
Husband has done his time in the forces (over 20 years) and is possibly looking at coming out sometime next year. Thing is, that I want to be moved this summer so that our children can start a new school in september.

Does anyone know if we can get moved out of our final married quarter before he finishes his tour - and if we can get the final move (into our own house) paid for by the army?

Thanks in advance
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

  • I dont think you would get your final move paid for. We never got ours paid for when he join.

  • Try having a look at the final tour of duty application in JSP 752. The answer may well require some help from your HR Admin.

You must speak to your Unit admin or the Army (depending on your service) IERO (Individual Education and Resettlement Officer). these guys know the resettlement entitlement like the back of your hand and are all ex-military so have all resettled themselves. they are collocated with Army Education Centres. Dont rely on vague advice by a young soldier in the admin office or someone who has not claimed it themselves. this could be worth a lot of money to you, make sure you ask the right person.

I would have a read of "JSP 752 Chapter 7 Section 4 - Final Tour of Duty".

See of that helps you out.
