Name change - Urgent

Im due to go on holiday tomorrow morning, the guy im going with had just been taken into hospital hes going to be ok but has to stay in for a few nights, I have found a replacement for him but am I able to change the name in the morning at the airport? Im travelling with Thomas Cook and due to fly at 10am tomorrow morning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you give a few more details. Where are you travelling to? Is this a full package holiday (hotel, flights, transfers etc all bought in one go) or did you buy hotel, flights, etc separately? When you say Thomas Cook, did you book it on their website or was it in a TC branch?

I'd try ringing somebody at TC now - may cost you a few quid though. (edit - for the name change I mean)

Quick as you can - there are probably security issues to take into question.

I don't think you'll be able to just turn up at the airport. Try this number: 0203 027 5100, open til 10pm tonight. That number is supposed to be for bookings made after December 2009. If that doesn't apply to you it's worth a try in case they can help you anyway.

On another site, someone was able to do a name change at the TC desk on the morning of the flight after the original passenger pulled out due to illness.

You need to be the lead passenger to be able to do it.
