Question about kitchen fitting...

Hi - been looking at a Howdens kitchen (Burford). It is cream but the carcasses will be white. To get round this they have decor ends which are cream and cover up the exposed sides. My question is can the bottom of these decor ends be trimmed off so that the plinths go straight across and are not broken by the bottom edge of the decor ends? Thanks for looking.

Forget the base unit decor ends and get worktop support decor panels instead. These will go from the floor to the underside of the worktop and are the same depth as the base unit plus the door fascia. The plinths will simply butt up to them. Looks a whole lot neater.

Bumping this up. Has anyone had a Howdens kitchen fitted with these sticking-out bits at the plinth level? Does it look ok and doesn't it make it more difficult to clean the floor?

    Hello Barginhunter,

my neighbour has this kitchen. I can't answer your question re the sticky out bits (until i pop over to see them later) BUT

what she did point out to me was the handles. Ok they are stiff and don't move when new. 1 year down the line the most used drawer handles swing and have marked the drawer. she has got a bit of blue tak on the underside - doesn't look great but stops further damage.
Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j
