Free "Cars" book from Disney/Pixar

Received mine today, hubby rang up for this offer and although I told him to say 'no' to the book club he didn't!

So we've received Cars book along with Mickey Mouse Bookrack and six Disney Books including: Toy Story, Lion King, Beauty & Beast, Jungle Book, Finding Nemo and 101 Dalmations. Invoice enclosed states payment due of £8.98 for five trial books, so not sure which books to post back. Have e-mailed Grolier as their website states get six free books and bookrack with two trial books. Not a problem to post them back though as have sent me a free label to post them back (e-mailed and asked for this when I realised hubby had asked for book club books).

We received ours today too - phoned for it about two weeks ago. My lil one loves it!

DON'T JOIN THE BOOK CLUB! My brother tried it and got invoiced for it when he received the books, my parents called Customer services and we returned it, this is actually a free trial, you have to pay sometime!

Our book came today and it is faulty!

It's been put together wrongly and has been cut off on one side so words are missing, has it been put together by the lad on the phone?

I initially thought that it was a result of getting a free book or because I said no to the offer of joining, but nobody else has this problem?

i know this is a little bit old but my son is quite mad about Cars. i saw a promotion about this story book in the shops (if u buy one Cars which got a specific promotional code) and i was wondering if perhaps someone who already have the book can share one of the codes so my my little angel can have it as well. thank you very much in advance! sorry if i was confusing.:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Word of warning

A while back I rang up for the Incredibles book.

I never give details out or agree to any further marketing, just provide the absolute minimum to take up an offer, in this case they said they needed to know the name and date of birth of the child.

I was clear to the person on the phone that I did not want any more books or to receive information from other companies.

4 months later my daughter who was 2 received a letter from Littlewoods offering to open a credit account for her!!!!

tracking back Littlewoods got her name from a list sold by Grolier who coordinate these book offers.

Now Littlewoods knew how old she was so that was just incompetence.

Grolier were forced to send copies of the form the person filled in from our phone call, I quite rightly was making them aware that I would refer it to the information commisioner if they didnt .

the section on receiving further info had been ticked in the no box which was then scribbled over and the yes box was then ticked.

The word "dodgy" comes to mind
