that was the bizarrest call centre phone call I've ever had!!
some young lad answered with - "hello..hello..ummm...yeah, thanks for calling, um, all calls are recorded for training purposes, this is mcdonalds free cars book with ..um..grolier"
and it went on like that - but he was pushy and not listening to me with the take the other books - but I've made it clear I don't want them so if they turn up... well, we'll take it from there.
Thanks Thrifty Chick

thank you rung up todayFor thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0

I got a free chicken little book on their last promo the same way. They have just sent me a load more books plus a stand with the first 2 chargeable books in the series. i just sent the 2 chargeable books back and said cancel membership. Loadsa free books :-)0

Yes - remember to refuse all offers of being put on the mailing list / 3 free books etc. Just ask for the free Cars book. There is no requirement to sign up to anything in order to get your free book.
Good luck!0 -
If you say no to the other offers and they send you the books that is there fault. Contact them on the free phone number and say you are sending them back with no stamps on or ask for a free post enverlope. If you send it back with no stamp on they have to pay for it and it is more than normall. If they chase the books just say you sent them back. They can not charge you for something you did not want.0
