AEG washing machine

Bought AEG washer a few years ago (no warranty - thank you). Broke down and not repairable after only 3 1/2yrs. Repair man said new one needed. Feeling rather miffed and on the spur of the moment, I rang AEG and said I was not happy about AEG quality, to fail like this after such a short spell.
They called me back, and agreed that it was not good enough. They offered to replace my machine with a newer model for £50 (I had to pay for their engineer to confirm unrepairable). I was very impressed as the new machine would have cost over £400. All delivered, connected and collected old one for free. I thought this was excellent service form AEG and to think I was not going to bother telling AEG cause I did not think it would get me anywhere!
