Skooshies on Lupo not skooshing to full skooshiness
Those lovely wee waterjets which remove the mank from my window have decided to throw a wobbly and now the drivers side is only skooshing out a quarter of the water.
Tried poking it with a pin but here doesn't appear to be any blockage.
Anyone got any further ideas for getting it to work fully again?
My gut tells me I'm going to have to take it to VW Garage so they can replace the part.
Hopefully my purse can cope with that cost if need be.

The flip side of sanity is the game.

I have experienced this and did not have total success using a pin. I found the solution was poking a thin bit of wire, like fuse wire, down the thing.0

Marie If Xmucane's suggestion did not work, try to find where the tube goes to the bottom of the Skooshies (oh I just love that word
) and follow it back (away from windscreen) and you should find a Y piece. Disconnect the side the side that seems to be blocked and try blowing down it, may clear any blockage.
If not then before going to dealer, try a local car parts shop, most are helpful and may try to clear a blockage for you (at very least they will get a good laugh and your description :rotfl:). plus replacement tubing and or new pump will be cheaper0 -
Dont go to a dealer!!! This has happened about 3-4 times on my old e-class over the winter. I tried sticking a pin into the jet but it didnt work. Under the bonnet there will probably be a 7cm or so pastic thing that just unclips. Take it out, give it a poking with a pin, and leave it in some hot water for 10mins or so. Then plug it back in to the water tube, but dont fasten it all back together yet. Leave the bonnet open, then test the water jets, when it works clip all back together.
Dont pay £20 for something you can do yourself in 10 mins with a pin and bowl of water!! (and I have absolutely no expertise in engines/fixing cars)0
