Help please on buying car and finance

I agreed to purchase a car last weekend and went into sign the paperwork today.
I, stupidly, signed the paperwork and went back to my car and then decided to read the details.

Inlcuded on the finance were two additional charges. One for £100 purchase fee and one for a £199 acceptance fee. These were not explained to me, neither was the interest rate of 18.4%. The original salesman had said it would be around 6%.

I asked the salesman to dispose of the signed document, which he agreed. I now have to write to he garage to cancel the buying of the car.

The problem is that I paid a £500 deposit - will I be able to get that back?

Cheers

Dave

  • I Don't think you have much if any comeback on the deposit.
