Lol, I'm very good at describing what I mean aren't I:rotfl:
I'm just wondering how you all keep your wedding planning in check, do you have a list of what to do and when?
Where do you keep all of your ideas, papers etc..
Is it worth getting one of those pre-made wedding planner organiser things? If so, does anybody have any recommendations for a good one? My mum said she would buy me one if I want one.
I've already set up a "Wedding" file in my internet favourites and on the computer too but I'm thinking for things that aren't on the PC.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!:)

I have one of those large box files from Tescos. Thats got a collection of paperwork type things that i've ammased so far.
I have a computer file where i store things ive found online.
Also, a notebook where ive scribbed down guest lists, poems and other little things ive seen.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
I have a photobucket account thingy and copy all the pics i see on the net for ideas, i have also uploaded my mock invitations, dress, and things i like the look of.
I brought an a5 notepad from asda and it has page dividers. I have to one for rough and then one for stuff that is planned and paid for.0 -
I have a folder which I've got all the contracts and stuff like that in. And I've printed off checklists, guestlist, menus etc etc. My OH thinks I'm a bit sad!!! hahaha! It's helpful though to have all wedding stuff in 1 place! Was going to buy one of those proper planning books, but they are quite expensive, and there are sections in them that you may not need, so I've just found it cheaper and easier to do it my way. Hope to help xx:money:Trying to get debt-free:money:0

I have a big folder with dividers in for different things. If i see something nice in magazines, i cut the pictures out and glue them on to the paper in my folder. I've got quite a large collection of cuttings now haha.
I also keep things in there like our contracts, guest lists and our budget spreadsheet etc
Then i have a little notepad book that i keep in my bag so i can write down web addresses, prices for things when i see them and i take it when i go shopping in town incase i see something nice i can jot down in it.What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
Thank you for your replies, I already have a little notebook that I've jotted a few things down in so perhaps that is the way forward then along with my computer files and a big folder, think I'll get a lever arch file from the supermarket and a some dividers.
Is there a list somewhere of what i should be doing and when? Like a timeline? x:love:11th March 2010- Got engaged to my amazing fiance, planning our wedding for 20120 -

I think it covers everything though!!
Have you got Microsoft Office? I use a budget spreadsheet in Excel. If you open Excel and click to open a new spreadsheet, in 'Templates' under 'Budgets' you can choose a wedding budget planner. I use it and i just change the items to meet what i need. Hope that makes sense! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
Thank you, that is REALLY REALLY useful, I'm going to copy and paste and make my own timeline in word using that article.
Also thanks for the excel tip, I'm off to have a look at that now

I just have one big zipped presentation folder, nicknamed the 'Bridezilla book'!! Everything has a section at back which is like a small box file thingy, and it has an A4 pad for notes!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

I have a box file for keeping reciepts, invoices etc... it also has little bits in it like crystals & ribbon!
I also have a little white swarovski notebook that was free with a bridal magazine that I use for jotting stuff down, that goes everywhere with me!
& I have also have a free weddingpath site, which has a to do list, budget planner, seat planner, plus loads more stuff. I find it very useful & it's helping me stick to our budget too, which can only be a good thing!!
