Greece Domestic Flights - Aegean Air

Hope others would be able to save some pounds after learning of my experience.
Yesterday I've booked flights with Aegean Air (http://www.aegeanair.com/). When I first checked the prices in the afternoon it was €19 each without tax (Athens to Thessaloniki), and then it was again €19 each when I checked it again in the evening just before I book it. I have gotten to the last stage of my booking, I have filled in the credit card numbers, etc., and then it turned out that my credit card number is entered incorrectly and I had to restart the whole booking process again (there is no way I can correct it on their web booking system).
But then now the ticket prices has gone up to €38 each! I booked them regardless, thinking that it's becoz all the cheap tickets are booked and also because I don't want to risk having the price hiked on me again.
However this morning I checked their website again and and the price has gone back down to €19. I emailed them to ask for a refund of €38 (I bought 2 tickets), they didn't say they'd give the money back to me
but instead said:
"Regarding Aegean Airlines' price policy, we would like to inform you that on our flights we offer different kind of fares. The special offers are valid for a limited number of seats. Each time that a passenger intends to buy a ticket though, the system offers the lowest available fare at that time. We would also like to point out that important differences are noted related to the time that the passenger requests the ticket, as many passengers cancel, reserve and change tickets every minute by all spots, airports, internet, travel agencies, Aegean Airlines sales desks. Consequently, you can realize that the incident happened to you is explained."
So the lesson is - if the price on the Aegean Air website has hiked just a moment ago, don't book the tickets on the new price, but instead wait for a few hours and try and book them later as the price might come back down.
