Boursin cheese - ideas please!

Options
I have a boursin cheese which I bought on offer the other week and now is fast approaching its use by date. I don't know what to do with it and wondered what exciting ideas you lovely lot have for it. The only thing I can think of is to stuff it into chicken breasts, which is still an option....
I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

  • dip carrot sticks into it!! mix it with some grated hard cheese (cheddar maybe) and use it as a sandwich filling or mixed with some eggs to make a frittata

It is lovely when used as the bases of a creamy pasta sauce. Before now I have added crispy bacon pieces to it and served over hot pasta. There is no need to heat the boursin separately, just draine off your hot pasta and stir it in and give it a minute to warm through. Yum!

    I love Boursin :p

Use it more or less any way you would any other cream cheese.

It's lovely just on a piece of toast, or some homemade bread.

Also very good with pasta as suggested by katholicos; I would use bits of smoke salmon with it.

Bake it with a salmon fillet in the oven.

It's really nice if you spread it on toast and put a fried egg on top - in our house we called this "boursin slice".
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
