Hello, we have just returned from the Dr Who exhibition which is currently on in the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay. It costs us £10.00 for 2 adults and 2 children and 4 and under are free.
The exhibition isn't very big, but there are lots of interactive buttons, sound effects and visiual effects to see. My son loved the button titled "do not press" which made the dalek say "exterminate". Parking was free and they said our wristbands were valid all day so we could have returned later for another look. There is also a gift shop attached to the exhibition. If you are in the Bay, I think it is worth going to with the kiddies, my son loved it and has been playing Dr Who in the garden ever since !
I work in the Bay and there is lots to do so if you are going make sure you have a wander around - it is well worth a trip and it is there until September. Here is the link:

i really really want to take my son there, hes a MASSIVE dr who fan! Is it hard to find? I dont really know the cardiff bay area that well...You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....
*I have done reading too*
*I have done geography as well*0 -
Hello vik6525 - no it isn't hard to find, you come out of the big tunnel on the approach to Cardiff Bay, turn right into the "leisure village" park the car and there it is infront of you. Walk through the front doors and you will see the exhibition infront of you.
The building has Evolution (nightclub) on the one side and inside, it has Hollywood bowling and lots of lovely yummy eateries.

dont forget to get your car park ticket 'validated' inside the leisure village to avoid paying for parking.
it is also possible to walk from the leisure village/exhibition into the heart of the bay itself where you will find techniquest, the norwegian church, boat trips around the barrage, visitor centre in additon to bars/restaurants/coffe shops/ice cream parlour
if you wanted to treat the kids to a reasonable meal out, there is eddies american dinner where a main will cost you about £8 a head, harry ramsdens fish and chips or terra nova, which does reasonably priced meals.
enjoy your day, and if you want any more info just ask :jknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
ooh thanks WD my eldest son age 10 is a Dr who fan so he would love it0

No probs Rachie B - I work for Atradius which is right on the front near to the Norwegian Church and 2 weeks ago, they were filming Dr Who in my office. Unfortunately, not on my floor but some of my colleagues did manage to get into shot !
When I go to the Bay I use my office car park which is free and we have a good wander around. The new assembly building is worth taking a peek at - the children were well impressed with the security checks !

I didnt realise it was so cheap to get in!! Thats a great price really £10 for the 4 of you.
EDITED to say there is also a big exhibition at blackpool which is bigger than the cardiff one and has a lot more of the older drs stuff. This was the exhibition that was at longleat for a long time.0 -
My nearly-10yr old DD loves Dr Who (but not as much as me!!).
Is this worth driving from London to see? Or is it a "great for 30 mins if you're passing" type of exhibition?0
