Quaestor Research on behalf of Halifax [halifax@quaestor.com]

I had an email with this from: address Quaestor Research on behalf of Halifax [halifax@quaestor.com] to me (full name). The 'letter' "Dear MY FULL NAME invited me to take part in a 5 minute survey, with the Halifax logo in the top corner and Quaestor Finance name/logo in the footer, in the body was contained a long clickable link.

On the one hand they know my name so probably not phishing, but who the hell are this outfit. I hasten to add I have not clicked, nor will I.

    Top hit on Google:-

Looks like some outsourced customer experience information gathering company.

When in doubt, forward to: security@hbosplc.com, mark as junk and delete.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.

Unless the survey is only gathering anonymous data, I'd follow jambosans' second piece of advice. The co is not registered as a member of the market research society which would ring alarm bells with me.

Quaestor are registered as a member of the market research society! All information they collect is anonymous. You can close any survey at any point if you don't want to answer a question.
