Dulux Sugared Lilac Bedroom Walls - what colour furniture and carpets to go?

Hi

Just wondered what your thoughts were.

I've just bought a house and have been decorating. I have painted my main bedroom lilac using Dulux paint and am struggling to find black furniture which isn't too expensive - it was going to be black and purple. So now all the black furniture I can locate are way too expensive so I now have to rethink strategy but stuck for ideas.

So wondered whether anyone out there has lilac walls and if so, what colour scheme have you got?

Any ideas appreciated.

I have that paint in my bedroom and my furniture is white-washed wood (it's just a fairly cheap set from Tesco Direct but looks quite nice).

I got my bed, which is black metal, from the bed shed for £50 and I got my black metal bedside tables from Ikea, they were £10 each. Alternatively I would get white furniture, which can be quite inexpensive and either a cream or purple carpet.
