Buying a nearly new C-max
Hello,
looking to buy a nearly new c-max (2009) and wondered where the best places are too go. Looked at local ford dealers but a few people have mentioned you can buy new cars from brokers for quite a big saving. Are there any which people would recommend?
Also it's been mention to look for some dealers that source cars from the channel islands. i've found Dunbavand Car Centre which does that. Has anyone any experience doing the above?
thanks

Used Direct Ford myself and was delighted with all aspects of their service.

Would highly recommend and use again as I live in West Wales approx. 350 miles from them but never had the least problem.
C-max prices are currently being reviewed on the site , so will not be available for a day or two.0 -

Got my car from them - if you can't see what you want, call them, found them to be excellent.Genie

Brokers tend to focus on new cars but to be honest if your looking for an 09 plate you may as well do a comparison with new prices as there may not be much in it.
Because the car is so new most will either be in the dealer network as ex demos or as cars that ford have defleeted from their own fleet at between 3 and 9 months old. All dealers will be able to acess these cars on their computer system (if they are signed up to ford direct) but you are buying unseen as the car wont be pyhsically there. The quality is assured so if it turns up and isnt right then they wont expect you to buy but if it is then they will.
Only other suggestion I can make is ebay/small ads around areas like essex, bridgend, southampton where there are ford plants as employees often change yearly and may prefer to sell privately than px at a dealer.0 -
That is why I recommended Copthorne - they seem to get alot of ex lease cars - mine was a year and a half old and had under 2k on the clock - it was like new. they get alot there - recommend them rather than trolling around essex.Genie
