An ebayer is using my picture with my ebay id across it.

Just having a rant.

I'm sure there are plenty of [STRIKE]cheats[/STRIKE] people who will now say "what's the problem with that?"...

eBay will (eventually) remove it. If they've hotlinked rather than saved it down though, it can be more fun to change the original image...:D

The person using it must be a bit dim to use a pic with you id on, you could see it as free advertising!
    Ebay will sort it eventually.

For those that aint [STRIKE]completely anal[/STRIKE] fine upstanding members of ebay, what is the problem? no different than using ebays stock images that they put in for you if you add the info. - Enlighten me:p

  • Well I'm pretty sure those pictures ebay put up are for your use and therefore you have permission to use them. However, OP has taken time and effort to take their own pictures and upload them etc, and has not given permission for any random person to use them.

Picture theft threads are the new Excessive postage/feedback first threads...

Except they have a nice side effect of clarifying the morals, or lack of, of some forum members.

    Absokutely.

At least with picture stealers ebay seem to act quickly and the thief gets to have all the bother of losing auctions they are running and suchlike.

My photo with my ebay username across it was used and I was ignored when I asked thief to remove it so changed it on Photobucket to a pile of dog poop as was suggested to me on here :)

    Childish? maybe
    Satisfying? Absolutely :D
