No im not in a hurry for it, actually it was my sister that said about it as she is on her own would take ages for to eat it all up and be taking space in her freezer , so thought we could go halves if i was intrested but she wasnt sure if it was a good price.
But i got loads of venison for a good price 20 kilos for £20!!! yum yum yum!!!

That's a great price for venison. I bought a few half lambs last year (couldn't have fit a whole one in my freezer) from my local organic farm shop and it worked out approx £60 for half a lamb. They butchered it to my specifications and vacu-packed it all. I'll be buying them again this year as it's great value for money. The last one I bought I had them cube most of the leg and the shoulder as there are only 2 of us and we like to eat a lot of curries. It's great as you can make stock with the bones as they gave me those separately bagged as well. Roll on lambing season!

We pay £65 for a whole lamb from a customer of ours who runs a farm in Weardale. We know they are organic as they roam the fells. He's a small producer so he only has a few each year but he gets a local butcher to sort them out. When we collect them all the parts are in a box labelled ready to go in the freezer!

Are there farms that you can stop at if you're driving through a place?
I do a lot of driving (work) and could pick one up on my way home from somewhere?

Plenty of Farms around that sell straight to the public.
When we are staying in an area we have not been before we always ask in the local shop for farms that sell produce.

Last time we went to our favourite farm near Acle in norfolk, he had just killed a cow and my daughter would not eat meat for 2 weeks.

Double Yolk Egg's, Huge Fresh Veggies, Can't get them in London unless you pay the Earth.
We pop into Smithfield Meat Market once a month to buy our Meat.
