Hi peeps,
Need some advice, I am currently in the process of changing bank accounts, currently with smile, and am wanting to change to either HSBC, LTSB or Barclays?
So my simple question is which one would you choose and why?
Many thanks in advance.:money:

1) Why do you want to change from Smile?
2) What things matter to you most about a bank account?
3) Why do you want to restrict yourself to HSBC, LTSB or Barclays? So my simple question is which one would you choose and why?
It's not about which one I'd choose. It's about helping you find one that's right for you.0 -
Thanks for reply,
I want to change banks because want to be able to go in to a bank and speak to people face-to-face rather than ringing up all the time, in addition am getting tired of having to always go to my local PO to deposit/cash out money.
The reason why I have chosen these three banks is because these banks seem to have over 3-4 branches situated in my city so seemed it would only be right if I chose these ones, as suits my needs.

is there no co-op branch in your area? My branch is more than happy to deal with any questions I have.:santa2:0 -
hmmm havent really thought of that, i think there are two co op branches area if i'm not mistaken. Have you got a smile bank account as well if so whats your overall opinion on them0

I do have a smile current account - the branch just treat me like a normal customer (they keep trying to get me to take out a loan thanks to the score from my smile account).
I think they're ok for the day to day stuff, the only things that bug me are the high charge for foreign withdrawals and not showing the real available balance. But I do love the smile brand and have never had any problems transaction wise unlike barclays and halifax.:santa2:0 -
what kind of problems have you had with Barclays, if you dont mind me asking.0

I would advise you to choose HSBC, their service is first class and they seem to have a branch pretty much everywhere. Their internet banking is also A1. The premier account offers a level of service which is outsanding but there are certain requirements for this. All the best.Money is the headache, money is the cure!0 -
