Using Windows media player to burn cd?

Hey all hoping for a bit of help.

The only software i have on my pc to burn a cd is win media player. (would love a free download of something else if anyone knows of one!)

my problem is, i have a mp3 cd of apx 200 songs that a friend needs converted in waves and put onto cd to play in any player - simple i though - but no! everytime i send songs to the cd drive, then go in and tell it to burn, it then launches win media which tried to put all the songs in my library on and tells me they wont fit!

how do i make it burn only the ones i want it to?

thanks
