    thanks for all the comments, she is hugely hacked off as she only gets minimum wage but regardless of this is very conciencious, arives 5-10 mins early stays 10-15 mins after finish to make sure everything is done before she goes home (doesn't get any thanks or extra pay), have to say she isn't on the breadline as her other half has a good job and she wanted to go out to work because she she felt for herself it was the right thing to do. she is sorely tempted to tell her boss to shove it!!! lol, can't say I blame her

    Hmm. I would feel tempted too. I think I would wait to find out what boss is doing about the weeks holiday and if this is a repeat, I would go home and think about it over the weekend, and almost inevitably come to the conclusion that I should put my 1 week's notice in through the letterbox on Monday morning, to run concurrent with boss's holiday.
