British Gas "Service" Contract
I have had a British Gas Service contract for my CH boiler for many years.
They play a very cute trick of not letting you know when the "annual" service is due until 2 or 3 months after it should have taken place.
Therefore they get 14 or 15 payments for 1 visit.
Good trick
I am now in a contract from 20/3/09 to 19/3/10 and they have not visited since January 2009
Is it worth getting upset with them ?
Will I get anywhere ?
I wonder if I have a case to accuse them of breach of contract.

I just used to mark when my service was due on a calendar and phone through to book it. One time I didn't get around to it and they wrote to me.0

your service was done in jan 09 during your 08 / 09 contract and your due one now so phone them and book it as you are now in the 09/10 contract so ask for it to be done before the end of the contract and then it will be done in your contractual year.
If you don't you won't come off any better.
As said above a note on the calendar works a treat. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0 -
If you have registered your account online with them you can book a annual service online.
Thats all i did this year a lot easier than ringing them up.0 -
