You do have to fluff them up in the morning as you would have to with a feather pillow. And if you want extra height then it is better to use a feather pillow underneath.

this was one solid piece with shaped contours for the neck etc

cant use feathers as they make my nose run .. and the pointy out bits pee me off

We have been looking for a while. We have slept on memory foam and I hated it, so we have gone for this Rest assured pocket sprung one.

Yes I know the type.

You could use polyester filled pillows instead of of feather.

In kinda er, response to myself...

I went to Healthbeds today. Seems a decent place, some lovely beds, but a bit out of my price-range in the main (who would've thought that having £600 -£700 wouldn't be enough for a decent bed? Go figure!). There was no hard-sell though, so if you are in the South Yorkshire area I would say they were definitely worth a look. I could afford (just) the sort of entry level pocket spring / memory foam affair, but it was single-sided, and I'm just crazy enough to believe the new-wave-retro-two-sided hype, which I can appear to get cheaper currently elsewhere.

Rest assured, I shall report back in 5 years on my progress. If I'm wrong, expect heady tales of a furious shower (an in-joke for those who've plodded through the archive).

You don't have to be crazy to believe it, because it's common sense that a 2 sided mattress that can be turned will last far longer than one that can't, because it will wear more evenly.
