Hi

Hope i ahve put this in the right place Next weekend we have a wedding to attend down south

We have to travel by train as my car is nailed cheapest i can find for 2 adults & 2 children (plus a baby but we dont have to pay for him) from dudleyport to portchester is £189 return.

Do any of you have any tips for reducing this??

Get a Family and Friends Railcard.
This reduces the tickets you have found to £107.10 at a stroke. Of course you have to pay for the railcard... £19.50 at the moment.

That trip can done for around £100 using Advance Singles and railcard. This depends on day of travel and time of day and you are restricted to booked trains.

Info from East Coast Trains website.
