glow worm compact electronic boiler

we have this boiler fitted
recently its got a bit moody with hot water

sometimes its like the valve/sensor that detects you turning the tap on isnt working
so hot water is a bit hit and miss
heating is fine and when it works hot water is fine

so anyone know what part is likely to be fauly?

cheers

Is your system/boiler pressurised correctly, to about 1.2 Bar cold?

If so, the obvious fault would be the DHW flow switch, but faults are not always obvious.

hmm now you say that i wondered if the pressure should be higher
never really look at these things till they break :o
am i best checking in the morning when the system is stone cold?
its not even at 0.5 bar just now with the heating on
if it is low then whats my way forward from that?

ps if you havent guessed i have never lived anywhere with this style of boiler :o

Look for the filling loop under the boiler, usually. Often a silver braided flexible 'hose' connecting the cold mains supply to the return heating pipe.

Open the valves up and let the pressure rise to about 1.2 Bar cold, or about 1.8 Bar if rads are hot. Then close the valves.

lol deary me,i found the silver pipe and found a small screw that allowed me to increase pressure (could hear the water)
however my little boy decided to choose this time to take a tumble,so now i have too much pressure :o
whats the way to drop the pressure in the system? :o
