anyone got a "basic" B&Q shower bath?

looking at getting a "P-Bath" from B&Q and there's 2 in there basically.

a £135 one + £99 bath screen

or a £329 "luxury curved shower bath" + £214 bath screen

obviously the B&Q guy was saying how much better the luxury curved one is and "it's thicker and better quality".

i want to know just how much better quality?

this is going in a rental property of mine of a lady with 2 young kids, she's not a big 18st heffa (like me) so is the "thicker one" needed plus the fact in combination it's £300ish more expensive in total for the better quality one.

The problem with cheap acrylic baths is that they have a tendency to flex if not secured / installed properly. This causes the mastic (where the bath meets the tiles) to move, which can result in water penetration.and the resultant damage. I would have the thought the more expensive one is a better option as it won't flex so much. Habe you tried a local independent plumbers merchant? they are normally cheaper than b & q. What about getting one off he net?

yeah, i will be ensuring the bath is fitted on a wooden frame, so just not too sure.

just with the 20% off in addition that ends today, seems to be very hard to beat.

so i'd be looking @ £520ish after discount for the more expensive or £160 after discount for the cheaper one.

I know this site is about saving money but sometimes cheap stuff is false economy.
