my 'choose' listing deletes

I have had my listing cancelled-

for apparently trying to cicrumvent paying ebay fees.

yet there are thousands of these type of listings on ebay, offering the same product as i, like this one-

I don't see how you were circumventing eBay fees with that listing.

Edit: Were you using another eBay ID to bid on your own items?

You offered a choice of stickers. Choices are not allowed on ebay.

Essentially you were able to list the stickers on one auction, when what you should have done was listed individual lots of 30 stickers, which would have got ebay lots more fees.

    Voila.

    Well, yes and no.

You were caught breaking the rules... you were unlucky that someone reported you.

If you're feeling bitter you could go and report all the other auctions, because if they're offering a choice they'll be be pulled too.

thats odd, cos i managed to complete my yougest daughters harry potter sticker book, by buying the stickers individually, ie by emailing the seller and telling which 5/10/20 stickers i wanted,

admittedly this was 2 months ago..... perhaps they have hottened up on it
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)

As I say, it's the luck of the draw.

Either one of your competitors spots you and reports you, or you get away with it.

ah well, I had no idea, last year I listed tons like this.
Perhaps when posting an item in this catergory, ebay should add a warning, otherwise it will probably just continue. 95% of people are listing choices.

I think there is a difference between your listing and listings that offer choice, where the supplier can guarantee the colour of your choice (ie where the listing is for multiple items and you paya fee to ebay for each sale).

I'm writing quickly and fear am not explaining well, so here's the link:

    thanks, i understand that.
I was more talking about the hypocracy that most other stickers listings are by their nature, choose from however many, yet they got away with it.

... because no-one has reported them.

There is no hypocrisy. Ebay will pull the auctions if they are brought to their attention. They don't police the site themselves - they rely on users to do it.
