Praise - Co-Op (Food)

Last week I bought a 'limited edition' chilli beef pizza. The picture on the box looked delicious. I got it home to find 7 tiny pieces of beef, and an uneven layer of cheese. Something had obviously gone wrong on that particular pizza at the factory (the beef was all in one corner, suggesting perhaps the machine had 'missed'??).

Sent an email to the co-op just pointing out the product code and batch number so they could take it up with their suppliers.

Got a personally-signed letter this morning apologising (again), and a £5 gift voucher!

Well above and beyond what I had expected. I'd actually expected to be ignored. I'd hoped for a "we'll look into it" reply by email. But to get an email apology, a letter as well AND a gift voucher?

Yes they seem to have got a lot more customer friendly recently, I wonder if it's the Somerfield influence? Also lots of nice deals in the little Co-ops too. I haven't been in mine for years as they were rude and expensive, but read a few good things on here and popped in a couple of times to be pleasantly suprised. It's nice to know you got such good attention. Well done Co-op, keep it up!
