I just wonder what other people are doing regarding planting bulbs in containers. Do you have different containers for spring and summer bulbs? What do you do when hey have finished flowering esp daffodils as they do tend to look messy? Thanks

I have different containers for spring & summer bulbs.
All i do is water and feed , once the spring show is over i just put them in a corner out of the way to die back naturally. I then chop off any remaining foliage and store them under a bench at the back of the garden until next year.

The summer containers i get out about April and plant the dahlias etc ready for the summer show, then store them over winter and use the spent compost etc as mulch for the beds.
